How it Began
During his college career at the University of Montana, Josh established Sierra Nevada Lawn & Garden. Initially focusing on lawn and garden maintenance, he returned to South Lake Tahoe every summer to run it. After graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Biology, he settled in Tahoe to continue his business.
What it Became
Over the next few years, Sierra Nevada Lawn & Garden was transformed from a maintenance operation to a complete landscape design and installation company. In 2006, the maintenance division of the company was sold and the name was officially changed to Earth & Stone Landscapes. From that point forward, our focus has been building residential and commercial landscapes. We strive to create a perfect blend of function and form for our clients.

The stunning natural landscape and the area’s unique challenges have created a closeness unlike anywhere else in California.
